The grounds are lush and green, and the place feels secure. The pool is available for swimming and kept clean. During the holiday period, people often braai at the pool house.

It’s a pleasant, family friendly place to spend time, and a nice coastal getaway. Some areas need attention, though. The pond is overdue for maintenance, and the kids’ play area could do with a small upgrade, including fixing the swings and adding some trampolines. It might also be nice if Eden Wilds management put small pedal boats or row boats on the pond so guests could float around and enjoy the water.

We waited outside because there was a delay getting the key, and it seemed they were expecting a couple even though we had booked for the whole family. The service didn’t feel well prepared for us. For the entire weekend, our family had only one roll of toilet paper, no bath towels, and no iron, although one was listed. We asked for help but got none, so we had to manage on our own. When it was time to leave, nobody was there to take the key, so we left it with security. They called the next day, Monday, to ask about it. Since we didn’t know how their security worked, we felt exposed to the risk of something going missing under our name.
