Umthunzi Hotel & Conference

My mother and I enjoyed our stay. From the balcony, we could hear the calming waves, and the beach is nearby. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and the room was ready for our arrival with enough supplies. Breakfast had a balanced range of choices, and the omelette was 100%.

The customer care was top notch, and we were left speechless by how much warmth and help we got for the price we paid. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming, from the phone booking to arriving in person. Sinovuyo, Nonjabulo, Mkhize and Phumelele, you’re stars. Calvin went the extra mile to get us into our rooms without us having to move around, and even helped with our luggage. Thanks too to Molly, Sindi, Kayla and Bright for keeping the chafing dishes topped up when needed.

That seafood platter was meant for two, but there was enough for four, and it was absolutely divine. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary last weekend in the Honeymoon Suite. It had a comfortable round bed, a spacious, beautifully furnished room, a private lounge and stunning sea views. The service stayed warm, attentive and professional throughout. Everything had been thoughtfully arranged, and we left feeling pampered and refreshed. We can’t wait to return. It’s a lovely choice for a romantic, relaxing seaside getaway.

The breakfast was delicious, and having a different menu each day gave us plenty of options. We were also kindly accommodated when we asked to add another night. Our sea facing room looked picturesque, with the waves adding to the peaceful feel. The room was cleaned at the same time each day, and fresh towels and restocked tea and coffee were always there without us needing to ask. Umthunzi hotel was welcoming from the moment we arrived, with staff who were genuinely warm and professional. The rooms were immaculate, and the amenities felt carefully chosen for guest comfort.
