I loved how quiet and hassle-free this place was. A retreat should let you get away from the noise of the city or town, and this resort does exactly that with its calm, secluded setting. If people have left bad reviews, they shouldn't have booked Wildcoast for this kind of getaway.

The quiet here was surreal. We stayed for two days, surrounded by wilderness, with the roar of the ocean feeling cleansing. The view of the wild South African coast was the most incredible yet, and it was great value for the money. The two-bedroom “chalet” has a raised outlook over the ocean, forest and mountains, plus kitchen appliances, a sitting room and a porch. This 60-year-old South African beauty has a not-long-ago-abandoned feel. If you want fresh paint and squeaky-clean rooms, you might not appreciate it. We loved the wildness around us.

The photos are misleading, and the place isn't well kept. One of the worst places I've stayed.

The guesthouse was clean and comfortable, and good value for money, but maintenance is lacking. The property itself and the road from the main road both need urgent attention.
