The room itself was a decent size, and there was a good shower, air conditioning, and enough parking for cars. Breakfast was served, though there wasn't much choice, and the TV used WiFi that kept disconnecting. Outside, the grass was ankle-high and the angled paving bricks felt loose underfoot. The gate has to be opened by hand, and the signs and business banners don't make it clear that this is a lodge. Inside, some of the wooden floorboards felt so unstable they could give way. The bathroom window was worn, wired instead of having proper glass, and wouldn't close. The place needs a lot of care. I'd rate the experience 4 out of 10.

The bed was comfortable, even though the sheets were torn. The room was a disaster, and the woman at reception barely welcomed us or explained anything about the place. She wasn't friendly.

The staff greeted me warmly, but the guest house looked less luxurious in person than it did in the photos. I had booked an executive suite and was surprised to find it downstairs with no balcony. At checkout, even though I'd asked for a late checkout, a cleaner suddenly came into the room to clean, which felt like a way of pushing me out. I don't see myself coming back, and I'm glad I'd booked for just one night.

The bed and running water were about all this place had going for it, so it gets one star. There was a hole in the floor by the entrance hidden under the carpet. The floors were filthy, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold. The shower was dirty too. The rooms smelled of a very cheap air freshener that did nothing to get rid of the stink. I felt like I was in a bedsit. Honestly, I can't see any reason to stay in this town.

The meals were nicely prepared and presented, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. Our room was clean and fresh. The bathroom was small and stuffy, and could really use a makeover. We didn't like it.
