We found the place beautiful, clean, and well kept, and the staff were friendly and welcoming when we arrived. But outside noise from other guests made it hard to rest, and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillow smelled horrendous. I thought it might just be the case, but once I took it off, the pillow itself was old and dirty and smelled strongly of cat urine. The bathroom drains smelled so bad that we kept the door closed the whole time. We stayed for one night, and I do think this guest house has potential, but the bedding, hygiene, and noise control need attention.

Unit 9 had a double bed and a single bed. The single was fine, but the old double mattress gave me back pain. I should have raised the issue, as I’m sure they would have sorted it out. The facility was clean and quiet, and it had a pool, a single hot plate, and cooking utensils. The WiFi connection was a little weak.

The layout gives a sense of space and privacy even with lots of rooms, and everything was neat, clean, comfortable, and classy. The braai area was a big bonus. The hostess worked hard to make sure everyone was sorted and happy. Great value for money, and a great place to stay when visiting Potchefstroom. We’ll certainly be back.

The peaceful atmosphere and lovely garden made our stay at Adato especially nice. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, including freshly baked rusks and delicious breakfast each morning. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed, and the host made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You can tell a lot of care goes into the details. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this guesthouse for a relaxing getaway with warm, genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely return.
