We had everything we needed for self-catering, and the lift made it easy to get our bags up and down. The apartment also had air conditioning in both the bedroom and living area, which we really appreciated. We were on the sixth floor, looking out over the nearby nature reserve and open grassy space where my daughter could run and play. It was so peaceful, especially coming from the farm. We stayed overnight for an appointment at Wilgers Hospital, and the location was very convenient: a fantastic Woolworths Food is right next door, while Pick n Pay Hyper and Atterbury Value Mart are only a short drive away. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and we’ll definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views and lovely hosts. It’s peaceful and clean, close to shops and menlyn Maine, and just right for a quiet staycation. I’ll definitely come back.

We loved our time at Die Appel en Ui Guesthouse. Madelein made all the difference with her thoughtful, friendly help, and was understanding when we needed to extend our stay even though the plans were uncertain at first. The Olive ground floor unit was immaculate when we arrived, and she greeted us with a big warm smile. The room was cleaned regularly and came with toiletpaper, fresh towels each day, shampoo, hand soap and dish soap. The kitchen had cutlery, utensils, a two-plate stove, oven, kettle and microwave, plus a spacious fridge with a top freezer. The hilltop view was breathtaking, especially at sunset and sunrise. We enjoyed morning coffee and a late afternoon braai while taking it all in. Highly recommend. Thank you Madelein! Guillaume & Dani'lle

The view of the service was friendly and caring from my first contact with Madeleine, even over the phone while making the reservation. Booking was handled professionally, and what we found on arrival was better than expected. There was safe parking, the room and other facilities were very clean, the bedding was crisp and fresh, and the kitchen had all the utensils and washing-up supplies we needed. The shower and other ablutions were exceptionally clean and neat too. Load shedding wasn’t a problem thanks to solar, and WiFi made everything hassle free. We spent two days, 12 and 13 September, at this exceptionally great guesthouse. I can recommend the Appel en Ui again and again. Thanks Madeline for your kindness and care.
