The gym was a bit disappointing, but the modern place and comfortable rooms were great otherwise. The staff at the bar and those helping with breakfast were especially delightful. Breakfast was always a lovely way to wake up, with friendly people preparing amazing food and very good coffee. The neighbourhood is nice too, and the location works well if you’re heading to the conference centre.

The location was a real plus. It felt safe, and I could walk to bars, restaurants, and Woolworths without going far for what I needed. The rest of the experience was generally okay, but my two-week work stay was frustrating. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and my Zoom calls kept dropping. If you work remotely, that’ll be a problem. I ended up buying a data-only SIM card and using a hotspot. There wasn’t a fridge in the room either. You have to rent one, and it took a couple of days for them to find one, then a while longer to bring it up and set it up. No microwave in the room made a long stay uncomfortable. Woolworths has one you can use, but it closes early, around 6-7 PM. If you’re on vacation for just a few days and don’t need a fridge or microwave, it should be fine.

I stayed there in early January and wanted to book again, but the reservations reception couldn’t manage a simple confirmation email. I called three times over three days and still don’t have it, so I’m looking for somewhere better. There’s no room service now, either, so you have to go down to reception with any question.

There’s a small shopping centre right at the doorstep, so the location is perfect. They should upgrade the TV, though, to bigger smart TVs.
