We came to this guest house in Faerie Glen for a quiet family weekend to relax, swim, and unwind, but left more stressed than when we arrived. Renovations were going on the whole time, and no one had told us beforehand. The dining area was dusty, there was cement in the water, and loud banging and tile grinding kept interrupting us, even at breakfast. It was especially hard for our 3-year-old son, who's very sensitive to noise. The pool was dirty and clearly not maintained. The photos on Booking.com also seem outdated compared with the property now. When we raised all this, the owner brushed it off by saying “others didn’t have a problem,” which felt very unprofessional. We wouldn't recommend staying here until the renovations are done and more care is taken with guests' comfort.

We lost many important personal belongings when we were robbed on our last night. We'd told the host on the first day that the door lock was broken, but it was never repaired. I don't recommend this hotel.

We were robbed just before our flight and lost some important things. The circumstances felt very suspicious. Everything else could have been almost good.

Breakfast was a real highlight, absolutely delicious. The bedrooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and comfortable, with a warm, homely feel. Our host welcomed us warmly and made sure we were settled from the moment we arrived. Our family of four was perfectly accommodated, and we had a wonderful stay at Fatrez Guesthouse. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely return, and highly recommend Fatrez Guesthouse to anyone visiting the area!
