Manhattan Hotel

Mr. Jacob, the shuttle driver, made getting around town easy and pleasant. The complimentary service was a standout, and the hotel helped us with everything we needed during our stay. I also really liked the breakfast buffet, with plenty of tasty options and enough to eat your fill. It was a hassle-free, enjoyable stay in Pretoria, and I’d recommend the hotel.

Koketso, the manager on duty, deserves an extra star. She was amazing, helpful and accommodating, and the restaurant waiters were welcoming and always ready to help. The rooms were clean and okay, and the stay was good overall. The TVs are outdated and can’t run apps. The restaurant was always out of my first-choice options, so I had to compromise.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the place is quite nice. I came down about 20 minutes before breakfast ended, served myself and sat down. They began clearing up three minutes before the stated closing time, which was fine. But while I was still chewing, with food on my plate and half my coffee left, a woman asked if I was done. I gave a slight nod, shocked and not wanting to overstay my welcome, and she hurriedly took my crockery with banana bread, sausages and fruit still on it. I hadn’t realized that once breakfast ended, guests were expected to leave the dining room immediately, even if they were still eating.

This was my third visit in two years, and I’m planning to come again before the end of 2026. Pretoria Manhattan hotel is beautiful inside and out, neat and clean, with great food, service and hospitality. The staff deserve a special mention: Mr Solomon at the bar, Paulina in food service, and Busi at Reception. You’re all angels. It’s the best hotel I’ve visited, easily deserves 7 stars.
