The meal was a real highlight: we had the fillet with roasted potato, and the butter blends were heavenly. Phumzile gave us beautiful service, an easy 5/5. My friend and I came to celebrate our birthdays with a cake, and the restaurant kindly provided the utensils and crockery. The plants, water and trees around this breathtaking spot made it even better.

The food is excellent, and every dish seems made with real care. The owner and staff greet you with such warm smiles that you feel welcome, not merely served. The setting is lush and green, almost dreamlike, with a natural calm that makes you feel at home. It encourages you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment. I left refreshed and satisfied, already thinking about coming back. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place with good food and heartfelt hospitality.

The generous portions, fair prices and quality all impressed us. My dad even called the fillet the best he’s ever had. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the venue is charming, peaceful and thoughtfully put together. Taryn was warm, friendly and accommodating, from the quick reply to my booking email through the rest of our visit. We had such a lovely time and will definitely return. Highly recommended! 🤍

DE KRAAL is a beautiful place with an art gallery, accommodation and a restaurant shared with the hotel. I wish the restaurant could stand on its own so more people could find out about it.
