The environment and parking felt safe. It’s technically not pet friendly, but I’ve snuck my yorkie in more than once. When staff saw her, they only told me pets weren’t allowed. I explained that she’s disabled and I’m the only one who can care for her, and they said okay, just keep her away from the pool. I nodded, thinking that she’d never manage to swim on her own anyway, and I wouldn’t let her near deep water by herself.

Unit 315 was a convenient, affordable base for exploring Menlyn, and I’d definitely come back. Most places are so close that you don’t need a vehicle.

It’s a lovely place near lots of entertainment, but parking becomes an issue at night.

Our family had the worst experience ever, and we cancelled a seven-night booking after just one night. The building looked run down, and the parking wasn’t secure. The power was out, so the lift didn’t work and we had to walk up to the fourth floor. Inside seemed fine at first, but then we found the front door lock was stuck and vagrants were living around the building perimeter. The shower was dirty, the tiles broken and the door flimsy. Every surface was dusty, and when we opened the bed covers, there were hairs and bugs in the sheets. The cleaning lady came for the keys at checkout, saw it and acknowledged the place was filthy. We got suspicious of the rating here and checked another booking site, where Menlyn Place had similar bad reviews. After we complained, they only offered a refund for three nights. Be warned!

A safe place for families to settle in, and Menlyn Mall is within walking distance.
