Travellers Rest

Those big wolfhounds gave us a massive cuddle in the morning, a lovely bonus! We felt right at home in Prince Albert, and breakfast was a great chance to chat with Jude and Bryan. They’re truly wonderful people.

There are plenty of bars, restaurants and arts and crafts shops within an easy walk, and the hosts are warm and glad to share local tips. The room furnishings are tasteful, the bathroom is roomy, especially the shower, and the small garden in front of the rooms is lovely. From the shared terrace, the view is stunning. The nightly price is very reasonable too, making it excellent value.

The owners were so lovely and helpful, and the room was really nice. I doubt you’ll find a better price in town. They even booked dinner for me and supplied useful mosquito spray. Breakfast is offered sometimes, and if it is, go for it: the English breakfast was wonderful, and it made for a nice chat. I’d definitely come back. 10 out of 10.

We were four couples staying over this weekend, and Bryan and Jude were excellent hosts. The rooms are spacious, the service was great, and the electric blankets were a real bonus in the cold weather. You deserve five stars. Keep it up, and we’ll recommend the place to anyone. See you soon.
