The venue was just right for our bachelors weekend, and everyone kept saying how nice it was. Katharina was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel so welcome. Thanks to her and Kapensis Guest House for a great time.

We made the eating area work for breakfast and lunch, then turned it into a party space later on. The owner was friendly and very accommodating, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Mika the dog popped by now and then. It was a lovely family break, and would suit couples or friends too.

The views around the guest house were beautiful, and it’s only a little over an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Katharina also sorted out dinner reservations in Pringle Bay for both nights, and her picks were excellent. We stayed in the family room, which worked perfectly for us, and the kids had a blast with the dogs and in the pool. Katharina and Surita were warm and helpful throughout. We all had an incredible stay, and hope to make it back.

The hosts really went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the food was excellent, proper chef quality. It’s a beautiful place to swim and unwind, surrounded by nature and well away from traffic. The setting is stunning. We’ll definitely come back.

The eight affectionate dogs were always up for a tummy rub or some attention, and Katherina is a really special hostess. The rooms are amazing, with views in every direction, and the whole place has the best vibe. A magical spot, probably the best guest house I’ve ever visited.
