The King Studio Suite at 24 on Basil was spotless, with fresh linens and a pleasant smell throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful, and at check-in they gave me a phone I could use to order room service or ask for assistance. That was really convenient. It’s a simple, efficient setup, mainly geared toward a comfortable place to sleep, with limited activities and entertainment. Breakfast is served from 8 to 9:30am, a handy way to start the day. I’d recommend it if you want a comfortable no-frills place to rest and recharge.

The breakfast was almost inedible apart from the mince. The toast was cold and dry, and the eggs were overcooked. On top of that, the owner had staff ask us to leave the pool area because checkout time had passed, even though my husband and I were already out of the room and weren’t bothering anyone. We were appalled and will never return. The room was creatively decorated, but cramped, and lacked basics like a bedside table on both sides of the bed and complimentary shampoo. 24 on Basil should put more effort into customer service than collecting striking art.

The service was lovely, and the place was beautiful, clean, and convenient. We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was the only thing that didn’t meet our expectations.

The room was clean, and the staff were super nice. The hotel itself was nice, though breakfast could be better. Internet connection was okay.
