Grace Guest House

Breakfast was amazing, and we really enjoyed our stay. It's a peaceful, central spot with a quaint feel, and the clean, well-kept units have a homely vibe. Our busy family could gather in the lovely garden, and when the kids went to sleep, they weren't disturbed. We'd recommend it to anyone passing through who wants somewhere quiet but central. One thing to know if you're reliant on tech: there's no wifi.

The breakfast was fantastic, with something for different tastes, and even the coffee stood out. Our dog was welcome too, and got to relax along with us. The self-catering unit was spacious, spotless and had every amenity we needed. With its peaceful gardens and pool, the guest house feels like a refuge from the city buzz. I had such a lovely stay that I wouldn't choose anywhere else in Joburg. Thanks to Kathy and the fantastic team.

The birds in the garden are wonderful, from sparrows to parakeets, almost like being in an aviary. Mark and Kathy, along with their staff, are charming, friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's a delightful thatched home in a lush, nearly tropical garden, with the classic, traditional Bryanston feel. The rooms are different from one another, each with its own charm. A real treasure for us, and a place we return to. Highly recommended.

Breakfast on the verandah, looking out over the garden trees, is a lovely way to begin the day. The hosts are friendly, and the room is comfortable, clean and fairly spacious, with a private garden of its own. Just be aware it's a single-room guest house, so it won't suit you if you want to mingle with other guests in the evenings.
