The executive apartment worked well for my business trips to Johannesburg, especially since I often arrive very late and leave early. Having a proper kitchen and living area meant I could make my own meals whenever I needed to. The bathroom didn’t have shampoo, lotion, or bath soap, but I was comfortable otherwise. The facility is held to a high standard, and the staff service was exceptional. I travel to South Africa often for events, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the lodge on the last weekend of February 2020, and was extremely disappointed. The place itself was horribly dirty, with cockroaches everywhere. The TV was technically there, but all the channels were suspended, so there was nothing to watch. The bedroom cupboards had filthy bedding hidden inside. Absolutely horrifying. 👎

The place was tidy and felt homely, and I had an awesome stay. My two issues were the weak WiFi and the very basic DSTV family package. The Khamanzi owners should consider investing in a better DSTV package.

The rooms are spacious bachelor-sized apartments with a study desk, lounge area, and a full self-catering kitchen, plus a small fridge. The place is fairly okay, though finding your way in isn’t easy. There’s no visible buzzer at the gate, so you have to get out of the car and look for it, and the signs pointing to reception aren’t clearly placed.

Getting out can be a hassle because you have to wait for someone to open the gate, and sometimes nobody is there. The DSTV signal is so poor you can’t even watch eTV. The owner is always around, but is very rude and unwelcoming to guests. This place is a disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
