Linden Guest House

This was my second stay at the lodge. When I went out, I locked my room, but returned at night to find it unlocked. That seemed suspicious, though I let it go at the time. After leaving the lodge, I discovered someone had opened my bag and stolen my wireless earphones. I called to complain about the theft, but they dismissed what I said, stopped answering my calls, and never got back to me. I'm sure someone there took my earphones. It was upsetting to have my complaint brushed off like that. If you stay here, take your belongings with you. They may open your room while you're away, and if something goes missing, you may be ignored.

We went there on June 13/15 to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday, and enjoyed the party. David and the receptionist took good care of us, thank you. The rooms are spacious and warm, but the place could use a revamp. Everything in the rooms feels old, including the beds, bathtub, kitchen cupboards, fridge, microwave, and mirrors. The mirrors were dull and dirty, too. There were cockroaches in the fridge, microwave, and cupboards. Please add a sign outside to make the place easier to find.

We first needed somewhere to stay quickly, and Linden Guesthouse turned out to be a lovely find: cute, comfortable, and good value. When our apartment building was being fumigated, we stayed again for two relaxing days. The staff were friendly, and even the shorter stay was well worth it.

The pool and grounds were well maintained, and the lodge itself was inviting and looked after. The room was neat, too, and there was plenty of privacy since the other guests kept to themselves. It was quiet and peaceful, a real pleasure to stay. David, the manager, was polite, accommodating, and such a nice person. The cleaning staff were amazing, and everyone was friendly and helpful when we arrived.
