It felt like a home away from home. The design is good, everything was neat and tidy, and the rooms have a kitchen and lounge with DSTV. All the amenities were there.

The staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Breakfasts are something special, and there are lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance for eating in or getting take-out. I can honestly recommend this place for business or travel.

We had such a relaxing stay, and the grounds are lovely. The staff were really friendly and ready to help however they could. Shops and restaurants are close by, too. Liz at Lancaster has everything you could want from an air bnb. I’m so glad we found it, and it’ll be my only choice when we’re in South Africa. Thank you.

It's wonderfully quiet, even though the property sits by busy roads and areas. Maybe the big trees help, along with the sturdy walls, because you barely hear the neighbours. Each unit has privacy, its own sunny spot, and an enclosed patio with flowers. The units can also open into larger family units, making this a little oasis in the middle of a busy city. Liz at Lancaster was recommended to me, and it actually surpassed my expectations. Everything runs efficiently and professionally, without a fuss. You can come and go freely, and there’s no pressure to chat with the hosts. Some guesthouses can feel very in-your-face, but that isn't the case here. The thoughtful comforts seem endless, from torches ready for load-shedding to needles and thread, plenty of tea and coffee, and rooms warmed automatically. Liz has also put together a book with all sorts of useful information, including who to call if you lose a credit card, plus restaurant, takeaway, and sightseeing details. There’s hardly a chance that anything small but important has been overlooked. A rare find.
