The garden setting made our quiet, pretty suite feel especially relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious, quick, and served the way we like it. Joy and her staff were so welcoming and helpful, going the extra mile to make us comfortable. MacHaven's location worked really well for us, and we appreciated the secure parking. It was excellent value for money, a lovely haven for weary travelers.

The food was so good, and everything was clean, neat, comfortable, and peaceful. Joy is warm, sweet, and kind, and SisNtombi is everything this beautiful place deserves. I’m still in awe and can’t wait to come back. MacHaven really is a haven. I miss the birdsong in the morning, then the breakfast knock as the sun comes into the room.

If you need a couple of days to detach and think, this is the place. It’s lovely and peaceful, and Joy is a great host who made us feel welcome and relaxed.

The place is comfortable, lovely, quiet, and serene, and the hospitality and friendliness were unlike anything I’ve experienced. Joy and Ntombi, you rock! I’m looking forward to visiting again. If you haven’t been, put this lovely place near the top of your places to visit.

The mosquitoes were brutal and had a feast on us. Since there’s no aircon, we had to open the windows at night. We slept peacefully, but that didn’t keep the mozzies away. A plug-in repellent for the room would help, and there was no mosquito repellent or bedside lamp. It’s a lovely B&B at a reasonable rate, but those few improvements would make a difference.
