I booked a room at the Guesthouse for my colleague, but there was no receptionist when he arrived. His room was dirty and grubby, and although I paid a huge amount for his breakfast, it wasn't good at all. I called the owner, who promised a breakfast refund and a complimentary stay. Later, the lady managing the guesthouse called to say there'd be no refund, only a complimentary stay. No thank you. Getting through to the owner was a mission too. They only work on Whatsapp, and I should have expected problems when they couldn't email me an invoice. Sorry, NO STARS for this Guesthouse.

Mary at reception was amazing. There were a few things that need attention, though: the water pressure was very low, the toilet leaked, the wardrobes were dusty, there weren't enough toilet tissues, and there was no bottled water at the tea station or in the fridge.

The room smelled bad, the cupboard was broken, and the garden was neglected. There was no hot water or water pressure, and no tea or coffee. A very expensive disaster.

I stayed for a long time, and every moment became a good memory. Mary is always there for you, such a lovely person. The place and its surroundings are wonderful, and they treat you like royalty.

What upset me most was how dirty everything was. The house was dusty, there were spiders everywhere, and even the sheets had dust on them, like the place hadn't been cleaned for a while. My daughter woke up with a rash, and the pool was murky green. It made for a terrible stay. I wouldn't recommend it.
