The Inn on Pine - Randburg

The service was alright, but the rooms look worn and the maintenance is very poor for a four-star guest house. The main bedroom light in my suite didn’t work at all, so I was moved to another room. Its air conditioner couldn’t be used because the remote had gone missing. After using the last toilet paper before leaving for work, I had to ask for more when I got back. I’m very disappointed. The ratings I’ve seen don’t reflect my experience. This place needs repairs and structural upgrades.

The reception ladies are great, but the rates have gone up while the place needs a lot of attention. The rooms need blankets and heaters for winter, the kitchen cutlery isn’t up to scratch, and the bathroom in room 9 needs a lot of work.

Clean and tidy, with friendly staff and secure parking. The shower didn’t work properly and needs fixing, and the paint could use some attention. Still good value for money.

The bed covers were torn and bloodstained, the towels were ripped, and the crockery was chipped. It was hardly suitable for self catering: there was very little crockery, no stove, and no pots or pans. The fridge didn’t work properly, so there was no ice, and I was told all the fridges were like that. This place is disgusting. I wonder if the booking sites check the accommodation they advertise. They should.
