Rawsonville has a very good OK shop, and the guesthouse is close to everything. We had a wonderful two days at Mont Rosa, with immaculate gardens in a beautiful setting. Room one had a huge bed and a fantastic double shower. The accommodation was excellent for a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly, and Riana was a thoughtful host who paid attention to detail.

Room 4 looked out over the beautiful garden, and had a spacious bathroom with lovely antiques. The service was perfect, and the location was excellent. This guest house, with its unforgettable views, was the biggest surprise of our whole Cape journey!

The rustic feel is wonderful, and breakfast is delicious. The linen is always good, and I love finding a different little welcome treat each time, like nuts or chocolate, along with rusks for tea. Winter here can be freezing, so I think electric blankets would be worth considering. The extra blankets do help for now.

The staff always go out of their way to meet guests’ needs, and every room has its own character. We’ve now come back for three years in a row, staying as a group of nine, because this guest house is comfortable, beautiful, and relaxed. There’s plenty to explore nearby, from hiking and mountain biking to wine tasting at excellent cellars.

The bed in room number 1 was amazing, and the wooden floors gave the place a cosy, homey feel. We loved the vintage style throughout Monte Rosa, especially the double shower, his and hers basins, and vintage bathtub. There’s also aircon, dstv, and a mini fridge. My girlfriend and I had an amazing night, with friendly staff and a great breakfast in the morning. Big thanks to Jarryd and staff for making us feel so welcome. We’d definitely recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.
