We won't stay here again. There were no employees around from 2 pm until the next morning if we needed help, and the room was tiny, with barely enough space for two people to move and nowhere proper to put clothes. It smelled strongly of mothballs, perhaps because of the very old furniture, though I can't say for sure. The bathroom was separate from the room, across the corridor opposite the dining room, so popping over in nightwear wasn't really possible. There was also a huge crack in our room door. At R600, an overnight stay in Robertson may be cheap, but this place didn't feel worth any of it. We couldn't make coffee in the room. There was a water heater in the dining room and some coffee in an unlabeled glass, but luckily we had brought our own. We couldn't use any other plates or cutlery. Breakfast the next morning cost an extra R70 and wasn't worth it either: the white bread was very cheap and quite dry. I can't believe this accommodation was given a star. We haven't seen such a dump in a long time, and it feels like they're making a lot of money from a run-down property.

Nice garden to unwind in, and the hosts are gracious. Good value for money.

We slept well while we were in Robertson for work, but the room was very small. It was the only one available, and they were quite booked. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, with no TV or DStv/cable, and no aircon. The shower taps and head gave us a shock when we touched them while showering.

They upgraded us when there was a cancellation, and we could park inside. The team greeted us with smiles and friendly service that made us feel special. Our room was dated, but clean, tidy, and charming. We loved sitting on the shady grass outside our unit on a picnic blanket we'd brought from home. We were there during the week, and the garden team started early outside, but we're early risers anyway.
