Excalibur Boutique Hotel

My friends and I are women, and we booked a hotel near News Cafe after going out so we could stay safe instead of taking an Uber at night. We planned to Uber home in the morning because we live 48 minutes from town. We arrived as a group of girls with no alcohol, just looking for somewhere to sleep safely. Instead, the owner or host disrespected us and called us prostitutes because we were wearing the same outfits as the night before, which she thought were too short. The lady and staff also went through our rooms. I felt deeply diminished and disrespected. It's hard being a young black woman and being judged for how you look. I'm truly disappointed.

The rooms are great, and this is the best mid evil time experience in South Africa. It's hard to put this place into words. I'd give it five stars.

I didn't stay, just stopped by for coffee and French Toast in the lovely garden setting. It took nearly half an hour to get a few slices of French Toast. The service was very slow, with no excuse for that.

We just wanted a safe place to sleep after a night out, but the next morning the owner or host had a horrible encounter with me and my friends. She called us all sorts of names and disrespected us because we were still wearing the previous day's dresses, which she thought were too short. Then she assumed we were prostitutes and suddenly wanted to search our rooms to see if we were really alone. It was so disappointing to be judged by how we looked, especially by a fellow sister. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO YOUNG LADIES WHO WEAR SHORT DRESSES!!!
