Floreat Riverside Lodge

The hospitality will definitely bring us back. Everyone, the ladies and gentlemen, was incredible, and they made us feel at home while being super accommodating. Thank you.

We were moved from Jock Sabie Lodge, which apparently has the same owners. The gardens are the only nice part. Food was mediocre, prices very expensive, and the bar had run out of booze. The rooms were dirty, showers had mildew, linen looked like Pep stores, and service was very poor. Breakfast eggs were rubbery.

The restaurant was a letdown too. We were the only people there, but service was slow and below standard, and the food was average. After supper, my husband ended up with diarrhoea, definitely from off chicken. No, is the answer. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We'd been looking forward to the visit, but left highly disappointed. The place looked nice from a distance, but far from nice up close. For a 3-star place, we didn't expect such old, unsanitary conditions. On arrival, the receptionist said the rooms still needed cleaning. Our room was still dirty when we got there, with a mouldy bathroom and dust throughout the unit. Our family's unit next door wasn't clean either. The floors were sticky and everything looked old and worn out.

Dinner took an hour to arrive, even though we only ordered two burgers and there were just a few guests. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very delicious. The room and garden were nice. Wi-Fi only works in public areas, and the pool looked dirty, though we weren't planning to use it anyway.
