The river setting is so green and peaceful, and the scenery is impeccable. Jolandie was especially kind and efficient, sorting things out quickly, and the rest of the staff were always helpful too. The bathrooms are spotless and well looked after, which really matters when you’re camping. School groups sometimes arrive by bus and make things busier, but it was still quite tolerable. The campsites are a good distance from the cabins. A beautiful, well-run spot.

We had a lovely river view, and the kids had fun in the heated outdoor pool and running around the grounds. The grounds caretaker was so friendly and kindly got our clothes washed and dried that same night, which helped since we had to leave the next morning. We booked a luxury en-suite safari tent at the last minute. The receptionist was helpful and friendly and got us sorted straight away. For a one-night stay, the tent worked fine. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and they had electric blankets, though we didn’t use them. Great service all around.

We loved Sabie River Camp so much that our stay stretched to over two months. We ended up feeling like family. Thanks for everything, Raymond, co owner! It’s a lovely spot on the Sabie River, well placed for day trips to nearby attractions. It’s great for families, with tidy ablution blocks, friendly staff, and a well-maintained camp. We’ll definitely be back!

There are lots of waterfalls to see, though the roads are atrocious, so keep that in mind. The campsite is shaded, set on grass, and has good views. Birdlife is incredible, the grounds are well maintained, and the ablutions are lovely with hot water. Wood was available for a small fee.

I’ve camped at Sabie River Camp twice now, and both visits have been great. My recent four-night stay at a 4-sleeper camping spot was peaceful, with lovely surroundings and a well-kept site. There’s plenty nearby for nature lovers, including scenic drives, waterfalls, and hiking. The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, and it’s a relaxing place to stay. Just bring your own cooking tools and cutlery, since the self-service kitchen doesn’t provide them. I’d happily recommend it and come back again.
