Kruger Gate Hotel

We went on a well-organized full game drive in Kruger and also booked a couples massage, which felt so good. The buffet had plenty of tasty choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful. What a beautiful, luxurious place. If we return to South Africa, we’ll definitely stay here again.

We were well looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast and dinner were always served well, and the whole team was friendly and smiling from the moment we arrived. The place was kept clean and tidy, and housekeeping was quick and efficient. A special thank you to D. and Zenda for being so thoughtful and welcoming. We’ll recommend this place to anyone visiting South Africa. You’ve gained some ambassadors in Brazil!

The pool viewing deck is phenomenal, with wildlife all around. It’s well worth spending an afternoon there. Our safaris were excellent too, especially the one with Harold. He was passionate about his work and knew so much about the animals, plants, and other wildlife. The rooms are a good size, the food was delicious, especially at the pool bar, and the staff were all incredibly warm and helpful. Kruger Gate Hotel gave us an amazing stay, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made the trip wonderful. Don’t miss the craft stands in front of the hotel, where talented women from local villages sell beautifully carved items.

Chef Leo deserves a special thank you. We asked for Indian food, and within 10 minutes he had prepared us a delicious spread. We couldn’t finish it all, but it was genuinely tasty. Leo is a gem and one of the nicest people I’ve met. The hotel’s spread was out of this world, with several options for me as a vegetarian. Everyone was considerate and polite, and the hospitality was the most impressive part of our extraordinary stay at kruger. Its prime location made Kruger National Park easy to reach, and thanks to our safari guide Mr Happy, we saw all of the Big 5. I’d love to visit again.
