We were only passing through and stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Cycads on the Sea Guest house was just right, from the owner's warm welcome and lovely room with a great view to the fresh, delicious breakfast and friendly house staff. The service was wonderful. We had little time, so the local knowledge and tips we got on arrival really helped us see some beautiful scenery around St Francis Bay and enjoy a spectacular seafood dinner. A beautiful spot and great value for money, and somewhere we’d love to visit again.

We felt completely at home for our full week at Cycads on Sea Guest House, and my husband and I can’t wait to return. Thank you, Zaan and team, for such a warm, luxurious stay. The location made it easy to explore the whole area, and we felt safe both in town and at the guest house. The ocean views and sea breeze were wonderful, with the beach just a five-minute walk away. Our room was serviced every day, and the host checked in over breakfast and shared great sightseeing tips. There’s also a very clean pool, an outdoor braai area and a mini kitchen. Each morning we could pick from three breakfast options, and the kitchen team got them right every time. It was our first time staying somewhere for so long, and it was absolutely worth it.

The staff were all really friendly, and breakfast was lovely, with the chef making sure you had anything you wanted. There’s a nice braai and pool area for an evening meal. Granny's pool and the main beach are both an easy walk away. It works for any age group, and going off peak was nice.

The thatched roof looks beautiful in its surroundings. Each room has its own character and plenty of distinctive details, with a nice little terrace behind it. Breakfast was good too.

We liked it so much that we extended our stay. Dee and Richard were warm, funny hosts, full of stories and wit, and genuinely interested in their guests. It felt like staying with good friends in charming St. Francis Bay. The rooms are individually furnished, spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was very good too, especially the homemade bread and yoghurt, made with care.
