The Sands @ St Francis

Before we even arrived, Nangamso had answered all my questions patiently and promptly. She and her team were professional, courteous, friendly, and flexible, and they matched the price from the booking portal after I sent a screenshot. That excellent service had already sold us on The Sands. We were welcomed warmly by Patience and Viyo, who’d recently joined the staff, and shown to what I believe was Room 1. It was spacious, with sliding doors opening onto a patio and a stunning sea view. The large bathroom was well equipped, and the minibar had a good selection at reasonable prices. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. My husband loved the Kudo steak and roast potatoes, and I enjoyed the roasted vegetable soup and mushroom risotto. The portions were generous. When we returned, there was a lovely turndown surprise, a handwritten good-night note and two hot-water bottles in bed. We felt spoiled. My husband had an early flight from PE the next morning, and Viyo prepared a takeaway breakfast for him: two hot breakfast sandwiches, an apple, and yogurt with a spoon. I had breakfast at the restaurant and enjoyed the wide range of continental options and hot dishes. The staff were attentive and accommodating without hovering. From the emails with Nangamso to the team on site and the talented kitchen staff, the experience was lovely and far better than expected. We can’t wait to return. Thanks to everyone at The Sands.

The breakfast was delicious, and Patience from the Sands generously helped with every request. We had lovely sunny weather and enjoyed swimming in the infinity pool, with stairs leading straight down to the sea. The team helped carry our luggage and welcomed us with a drink. Our room had everything we needed, plus personal honeymoon notes and oat milk for our coffee as requested. The stay exceeded all our expectations. If we return to SA, we’ll definitely visit again. 5/5

What an amazing setting. The rooms were clean and beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the service was excellent. And that sunrise!
