Annas Bed and Breakfast

Brenda is a really kind, cheerful host who helped us work out what we needed for the next day. Her two lovely dogs keep watch over the property, though they sometimes woke us in the morning. Breakfast outside was peaceful and pleasant. The garden was under construction, so we couldn’t walk through it, and the pool was unfortunately too dirty to swim in. The bathroom in our room smelled very bad in the morning and woke me up. The shower wasn’t very clean, and the sink water didn’t always work. My family members had a large, clean bathroom, so I used their shower instead. The room furniture is old and could probably do with updating. The beds are very hard, which some people may like, but others may not.

We’ve been coming to St Lucia for years, so it really hurts to say this was such a shocking, upsetting stay at Anna's BNB St Lucia. There was no water when we arrived, so we couldn’t shower. I told the owner, and he had his mom get the water running briefly, but then it stopped again. The guest house was empty, with no other visitors. The TV didn’t work, and the place was full of dust and cockroaches. We paid R10 200 and got no service. We had to leave early because of an emergency and took our baby to hospital. At first the owner said he could arrange for us to use the two days we’d paid for but hadn’t stayed. Then he changed his story and said we’d forfeited the booking, and wouldn’t be allowed to come back for those two days or get a refund. It’s shocking and disgusting to be treated with so little respect. I want families, friends, and everyone to know how this BNB handles an emergency. They don’t care, but were happy to take our R10200 and provide nothing. I’m highly disappointed with how the owner treated us and would never recommend Anna's BNB St Lucia.

We had a lovely stay at Anna's Bed and Breakfast, with wonderful hospitality and awesome breakfasts. I do think the rooms could use a television.

The service was good, and the rooms were very nice.
