Hippos wander freely through town, and at night they even came into the lodge garden. Our night camera caught them! We also saw friendly animals like Duikers, pumba's, and birds. The activities in and around St Lucia are unreal, and there are great restaurants, including sushi Wednesdays and other good deals. We spent 8 nights in February at Leopard tree lodge, in the kingfisher room, a self-catered apartment with a full kitchen. It had everything we needed and a big braai area. The staff worked so hard and were really kind. Thea, the house manager, always answered on WhatsApp and was around every day. The gardener cleaned the pool every morning and helped us with umbrellas. We had a great time and hope to return one day!

The peaceful atmosphere was lovely, with only the monkeys making noise, which was fun and not dangerous. The kingfisher apartment was spacious, cosy, and looked new. Everything felt just right: fresh water and milk in the fridge, and clean kitchen appliances. Staff were always ready to help if anything was missing. Thea, the manager, gave us special tips and arranged bookings. We were pleased with the laundry service, and the daily cleaning worked like a charm. It was good value for money, and we'd certainly come again. Don't miss Cape Vidal, the E-Fat-Bike Tour, and the Hippo & Crocodile boat trip.

Five nights felt too short, and we'd be happy to come back. There are lots of activities nearby, and we always felt safe in St. Lucia and the surrounding area. The beautiful garden and pool were great places to relax.

The rooms were clean, each with its own themed finishings. There's a nice pool and Braai area opening onto the wilderness of the wetland park. A perfect place to stay for a couple of days, and I'd stay again.

We had an amazing time in St Lucia and can fully recommend Leopard Tree Lodge. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay is there, and the facilities are top class. It's very clean, neat, and tidy. You can't go wrong.
