St Lucia Lodge

The place smelled of cigarettes, and the linen was dirty, with pillowcases missing, towels unclean and door handles sticky. We were still moving our bags when the receptionist came to rush us, just three minutes after checkout time. Apparently the rules only apply to some people. I’ve never stayed in a hotel this dirty, unfriendly and stinky. If zero stars were an option, I’d give it that. Do not go here!

The pool is magnificent, and after a long day it’s a great spot to relax. The pool area is a family’s dream, with tables for dining and chairs to lounge in. St Lucia Lodge did what we needed for a trip centered on being outdoors, rather than spending time in the room. The rooms were cleaned daily, but don’t expect lots of space or the latest technology. For the price, it’s worth a visit, and I’d recommend it if you’re after affordable accommodation that meets your needs. It’s in a great spot, an easy walk to the main town and restaurants in ST Lucia, while still being tucked away on a quiet street. Service was top class. The staff were friendly, helpful and there whenever we needed them, which made our stay comfortable. There are a few things that could be improved, though. Thanks to the wonderful staff for making the stay memorable.

Loud music and parties carried on well past 10pm, while children ran up and down the corridors, knocking and slamming doors. The towels and pillows smelled awful, and staff weren’t very helpful when we asked for replacements. The linen and beds were not clean at all. There was a massive disregard for the rules. It wasn’t even good for one night. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

The rooms are very small, but absolutely neat and clean.
