Monique, the chef, really went out of her way to make filling, tasty vegan meals with some variety. At other similar resorts I’ve visited, the special diet options are usually pretty poor, but I felt looked after here. I was here overnight for a work conference, and the service was incredible. The food was delicious, too. I’d highly recommend it. All the pictures are of the vegan food!

We had a lovely Saturday breakfast, and there was plenty to do: we used the heated pool and played tennis, table tennis and darts. The resort felt safe, and we enjoyed the activities, views and accommodation over the long weekend. It really is a beautiful, wonderful place to stay. My concern was the red dust. I have a sensitive chest, and it affected my skin, breathing at night and sinusitis. I kept smelling it and couldn’t sleep properly. I looked it up during our first night and found out about the dust problem in the area. I’d never heard of it before, and my eyes are still sore. There were 17 of us, and only three were affected; the other 14 family members had no serious problems. I think our room, A7, may have let the dust settle easily because it had a ceiling and roof, and I saw dust along the skirting boards. The other cottages had double-storey floors that seemed to protect their rooms. That’s just my take on it. It took my chest 6 to 8 hours to recover after we got home, and I could immediately feel the difference in the air. I’d like to visit again, but I’m not sure I can because of my health.

We had breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere at Bluebay Lodge & Resort, with great service all around. Jaydon the bartender deserves a special mention. His cocktails were delicious and perfectly made, and he served them with such warmth and professionalism. Thanks, Jaydon, for the excellent drinks and great energy. We can’t wait to come back!

The food was fresh, full of flavour and clearly made with care, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling forced. (Blue) Bay Social Club feels like a little break from real life. As soon as you arrive, everything slows down; the beautiful setting, warm inviting water and carefree atmosphere make it easy to relax. It’s a solid 20 out of 10. We can’t recommend it enough and are already planning another visit.
