Please don't stay here. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, and the stay was far below the advertised four-star standard. In our first room, there was visible mould on the ceiling, unclean bedding, and no basic toiletries. When we raised it, we were only asked whether we'd like someone to wipe the mould and change the bedding. The smell was unbearable. We were then moved to a smaller, downgraded room that was worse. We found a cockroach and another insect, the bedding was marked, and the pillows and mattress base were very old and heavily stained. A single mattress was simply added for our third guest. There were only two towels and two cups for three people, no soap, and no hairdryer until we asked. The old carpets were even in the bathrooms. I have photos and videos of these issues, though I can't seem to add them here. Lauren was very dismissive and rushed us to decide about swapping rooms on the first night because she had to leave. Despite everything, the hotel refused any full or partial refund. This was the worst experience for £444.

We paid R10,000 for two nights without breakfast, and the rooms were shocking. Our first room had a ceiling covered in mould, which seems like a health hazard to offer people for sleeping. After we raised that and other issues, we were moved to a different room. The mattresses and pillows were disgusting, and the sheets had stains that looked like blood. Lauren responded to our complaint with a lot of attitude, as though we were overreacting. There were only two towels for three people, no soap, and no notice that the water would be shut off.

Really awful, especially for the price. The room was dirty and falling apart, there was mold on the ceilings, and the TV didn't work. I can't recommend this place at all.

We had a lovely time at valley villa from 23 to 25 Sept. The garden was beautiful, the service outstanding, and breakfast delicious. The kids had fun too. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. A special thank you to Lauren. She's an amazing, friendly host who always went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you so much, Lauren. You're a star!

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were much more spacious than I expected for a guest house, and it turned out to be very family friendly. They accommodated our needs really well, including breakfast and having a toddler with us. The service was excellent.
