The front desk team were friendly and professional, but everything else made these two long nights miserable. Dinner and breakfast were both awful, and the woman serving breakfast was rude and inattentive. The bar staff were unfriendly and impatient, and the bar shut very early. Getting water or ice meant a long walk, while calling reception on my cellphone took several tries. The dusty carpets set off my sinusitis within hours. Housekeeping were rude too, and asking for an iron seemed to bother them. The shower temperature kept changing and burned me several times. I don’t recommend this hotel and won’t be back.

My first stay didn’t go so smoothly, but the problems were eventually sorted out. Mr Mthimkhulu, the manager, and Miss Beauty listened to what had gone wrong and made sure I didn’t leave feeling upset. I appreciated their professionalism and the pride they take in their work. I’d come back.

NHLANHLA NGWANE is absolutely amazing. Even after a difficult service the day before, he was still smiling and remembered the little things. Please recognize him for the wonderful service he gives when clients are dining.

Some of the best service I’ve had in years of travel came from Violet, Nolulamo, Beauty, Eshabeng and Nokwanda. They went beyond five-star service and made it feel like a home away from home. Thank you all so much.

It felt like home away from home here. The lodge is cosy and comfortable, and the reception, catering and cleaning teams were all amazing. They make the stay personal, taking time to learn your make, greet you by name and remember your usual meals and drinks.
