Ecomotel Marlboro

I should’ve checked the reviews before booking. There’s no air conditioning, not even a fan. Open a window for air and you get attacked by 10,000 mosquitoes. I came for an overnight stay, not to get malaria. Seriously, do better. A fan costs 200 rand at China Mall.

We know it’s a motel, but they could still do better. The blankets were old and hard, the towels were torn and very old, and the bed kept making noise. I’m sure prisoners sleep with better blankets. We paid R520 for one night, and it wasn’t worth it at all. Honestly, we paid for nonsense, sheem.

Ecomotel feels like a home away from home for me, and I always feel safe there. It’s spotless, the staff are respectful, and the manager, sister Porch, and her receptionists are friendly. Keep it up, and thank you for the welcoming environment.

EcoHotel Marlboro was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. The staff were friendly, too. Getting around was the drawback for me: it’s not within walking distance of malls or the town center, so you need to arrange transport if you don’t have your own. Even so, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay who’s comfortable sorting out rides to and from the hotel.
