Flamingo Rest

It’s easy to get to the shops and casino from here, yet the setting itself is peaceful and tranquil. The staff were wonderful and helpful, and manager Wilana gave excellent service. She went the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

The hostess was friendly and knew the area well, and the food was very good. This is a small, pleasant guesthouse, close to all the shops but still in a safe, quiet area. Great value for money, 10/10.

The rooms were clean and fair, but the service made for a very unpleasant stay. Staff weren’t friendly or welcoming, and seemed to treat simple requests like the address or WiFi password as a bother. The caretaker also judged me because of my age, which felt very disrespectful. None of the bathroom soaps had been refilled, as though they weren’t expecting us.

There’s a mini gym, a lovely bar, and delicious suppers cooked by the host. The rooms are spacious, the place is well maintained, and there’s extra privacy. It’s so peaceful that you can forget you’re in the heart of fourways. The staff are friendly, the host even friendlier, and it feels like a home away from home. Best place ever!
