Inn & Out Sandton Park

I checked in today and am so disappointed. The security guard, Xolani, was really rude and made me feel like an intruder. At reception, I was told the lifts weren't working and had to haul my luggage up the stairs to the third floor. The room lights didn't work, the plugs were pulled out so I couldn't charge my gadgets, and the TV wasn't plugged in either. I've been waiting two hours for the maintenance guy. I pay a monthly subscription to edreams, and this is the best they could find for me.

Everything was dirty, including the stained bedding. When we complained, we were told nothing could be done, and the pools were dirty too. The shower door didn't work. I wish I'd read the reviews before booking. This place needs proper maintenance. Honestly, it was the worst experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I checked in and checked out in the same moment, the stay was that short. The room smelled strange, the toilet was leaking, and the curtains were dirty. The place doesn't look like its website photos. I wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel still has renovations underway, and I think it has real potential to improve once they're finished. It's good value for money in a great location, and I genuinely hope it succeeds. The property was clean and neat, the staff were helpful and courteous, and room service came daily to freshen up my room. I would consider staying again. A strong smell from what security staff were smoking was unpleasant, and there was quite a lot of noise at times. Someone also unexpectedly tried to open my door. I contacted the sister hotel, and they kindly directed me to the right contact. Reception could provide updated after-hours numbers and clearer security protocols. It would also help to tell guests when booking that rooms don't include cutlery, crockery, or similar items. Thank you, Inn & Out Sandton Park. Together we can or will grow with you.
