Mount Royal Morningside

My apartment was broken into and my Apple devices were stolen. Security is tight, but I think it was an inside job or someone living in the complex. I don't feel safe there and wouldn't recommend renting a place. It seems crooks live there and protect one another. The governing body rep seemed completely uninterested. The gentleman I was told would call never did, even after six weeks, so I left. They're still trying to break into my devices. I especially wouldn't recommend staying there if you're a woman living alone.

The houses have lovely, spacious rooms and the place has a nice ambience. I loved it, though a play area for kids would make it a perfect place to live.

The private upstairs balcony, the 'smoking nook', was the standout for me. It has a beautiful, wide view over the whole of Joburg. The Airbnb had old school comfort, no shiny extras, but everything you need and then some. Security was fabulous, friendly and accommodating, without that paranoid, authoritarian feel most places have. Best Airbnb in town by far.

A huge apartment in an amazing location, clean and neat, with good security. Staying here was a good experience all around.
