I spent my childhood in this house from Feb 1996 to Dec 2000. My room was at the top of the stairs, first on the right, across from my brother's room. My sister's room was second on the right. It was a pretty nice childhood, and we had a dog called Max living with us the whole time. Pets were allowed then. If anyone comes across my stuffed animal, a Hippo I originally called "Hippy", I'd love to get him back. Hyde Park Shops would probably be a five minute trip now, though it took longer when I was in primary school.

The garden was nicely kept and the staff were friendly. In the room, though, the chairs and carpets had black dirt stains, and the shower tiles needed a good scrubbing. Breakfast was just plain egg on toast.

The neighbours made quite a bit of noise until midnight, and the wifi wasn't good. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, which feels a bit late for Jhb. Still, it was comfortable enough for a sleepover.

The garden was beautiful and the place was lovely, but the ants were all over the place. There were so many of them that it was a mess, and I couldn't rest.
