Alhamdulillah, we had a wonderful stay at Qurtuba Hotel. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic, and I loved visiting the animal farm, with its exceptional variety. I travel widely as a consultant, so I hope these suggestions help improve the guest experience. Our room suited us much better, and Alhamdulillah, it had a chair and we could use the Holy Quran on the big night. The check-in and checkout were wonderful, the reception area had a lovely aura, and the lawns throughout the resort were well maintained. The staff across the resort were friendly and always greeted us. I’m highly allergic to dust, so I’d appreciate the carpet being vacuumed. Since the resort is still new, the corridor carpets should also be deep cleaned, as the stain marks are a real turn-off. We liked the T-shirts and wanted to buy two, but there was no 2 XL. The Glamping unit is far from reception, so we had to drive down to ask questions. A phone in the unit might help. Please add a few hangers too. As an elderly couple, we couldn’t bend down to get things from our suitcases every day. Two fold-up chairs would let guests who can’t get down make salaah, and a small table would be useful for working. The outside shower awning was broken, and after a night of thunder and rain the shower area was dirty. There were very large spiderwebs by the bottles up top that the cleaning staff should clear away. I’m terrified of insects, and a strange big spider came onto my hand. I was alone at that time of night and had a panic attack. The next morning, we moved inside the hotel. Thank you to everyone.

I was there for four nights during Ramadaan while attending a three-day conference in nearby rosebank. The room was lovely and had a quran and mussallah for reading. Sehri came as a buffet, with more than enough food, and the meals at Limoni restaurant were delicious. Service was excellent the whole time, and all my needs were met. I’ve recommended that my company book this resort for my future trips to JHB.

The staff made us feel so welcome, and we’ll definitely bring the whole family next time for an even better stay. Qurtuba Resort was a 10/10 for us: clean rooms and a quiet, peaceful setting, with a restaurant, gym, padel court, pool and braai area for convenience. It’s especially good for Muslims, with women-only swimming and gym times. Limoni restaurant is amazing. I only wish it had gluten-free wraps and sandwiches. Thank you to everyone who made our visit so special 🥰❤️

We stayed two nights and enjoyed every moment. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable, with beautiful decor. The corridors and every corner had so much atmosphere, and were very insta-worthy. The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. There were so many facilities that I regret not having enough time to try them all or explore the whole compound and activity centres. It’s a resort with an admirable purpose and a brilliant approach to self-sustainability. Highly recommended!

The buffet breakfast was beyond what we expected, and room service was outstanding. They sent pictures of the day’s baking through WhatsApp and brought it to my room. The place was beautiful, exceptionally clean and well maintained, with decor that fit the hotel and room theme. I couldn’t get drinking water at night and was told I’d have to wait until morning. I was also disappointed when the estate guard wouldn’t let me into the Musjid for salaah. The prayer times he’d been given seemed to be for winter. Guests could perhaps get a tag for the length of their stay, so they can enter the estate for salaah.
