Singita Lebombo Lodge

If we get the chance to return to Kruger, we'll absolutely stay at Singita Lebombo again. We'd be thrilled to see Damin and Sheriff there too. The game drives with our guide, Damin, and tracker, Sheriff, were a huge part of why the long trip to South Africa was worth it. I've traveled extensively, but never met a guide of any kind, whether on a city tour or in an art gallery, with Damin's ability. He's both professional and personable, answers the many questions that come up on a drive, and has a dry humor that makes things feel personal. His passion for safari and conservation is obvious, even in the way he notices subtle animal behavior. With him, spotting a spurfowl can feel like a vacation-worthy event. My wife and I enjoyed those drives enormously and would highly recommend asking for them if you visit Lebombo, provided you're not a pain. The rest of the stay delivered across the board: excellent lodging, food, service, guiding, and game viewing. Thanks to Bongi as well. In a remote place like this, food and service can often suffer, but Lebombo managed every part of the experience exceptionally well. It made me want to come back as soon as I left.
