Daisy Country Lodge

The owners were so kind and helpful, especially when we had a flat tyre. They went above and beyond, and without them we might still be stuck in Goegab Park a week later. They made us feel like friends, not guests. There’s a peaceful, beautiful garden, a great breakfast, and really comfortable beds. The rooms are lovely, and the hosts have thought of the little touches, like sherry, a complimentary bottle of wine in the mini bar, and hot water bottles to keep our feet warm at night. The scenery is stunning, especially during flower season. Kids have plenty to enjoy too: jungle gyms, trampolines, a sandpit, lots of little bikes, and a proper putt putt course that we all thoroughly enjoyed. A wonderful place to stay.

After decades of travelling around the world, this is one of the best equipped and best run B&Bs I’ve come across. The rooms are comfortable, everything worked perfectly, and they had all we could need and more, including welcoming sherry and a complimentary bottle of wine. Breakfast was high quality, with eggs cooked to order and plenty of healthy options. The grounds are lush and well kept. Highly recommended.

The manager, Madre, kept checking where I was while I was on my way to the lodge, and even arranged a taxi to take me around town. The place has clear signs and a tidy garden. My room was spacious and neat, with lovely furniture and a well-stocked fridge. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range to choose from. I just wish there were a small table for food prep that could also work as a desk for studying or work.

We’ve stayed and camped at many places on our holiday around South Africa, and this one stood out well above a lot of them. The owners were genuinely friendly and accommodating, the rooms were lovely and thoughtfully decorated, and breakfast was generous in a really cozy setting. A treat all round. We’re a family of five and wholeheartedly recommend it.
