The noise at night made it hard to rest, especially since I was there for a conference and it only quieted down around midnight. I have endometriosis, and lack of sleep triggers it. I showed reception my swollen belly when it was flaring, but they couldn't move me to a quieter room. I wasn't told when booking that standard rooms are right by the entrance and could be noisy. When I asked about moving, I was told the Reservation manager couldn't move me because standard rooms are at the entrance, and that an upgrade would cost R500 per night. Nobody mentioned a discount. The curtains were see-through, and the night light came through into the room, as in the photo. On my first night, at about 1:09am, a man tried to come into my room, saying he'd been allocated the same room. That was scary, and I couldn't sleep. I kept wondering what might have happened if my key hadn't been in the door. I reported it at reception and was told it was typical guest behavior. I wanted to clarify this after seeing the owner's response, as I couldn't find the reply button.

The nearby golf course is great. The Golf course Manager, Course Marshall and Caddies were all really helpful, and the Clubhouse servers were warm and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stopover. The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was freshly made and good. It was lovely walking among the vineyards and taking in the scenery. We'll definitely come back for longer.
