This was my fifth stay at Laanhof, and it was perfect as always. The location is amazing, and the units are very comfortable with everything you need.

The place is beautifully and peacefully set on a quiet street beside a gorgeous river and running path. The neighbourhood felt relatively safe too. Everything was very clean, modern and private, and the rooms can each be locked separately. Cleaning staff and the gardener came regularly, and I saw them almost every day during my stay.

It’s in a good spot for walking into town. The room is nice and large, with a huge bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and a small garden area. Everything was quite acceptable, though the place felt a little soulless. The front rooms get rush hour traffic noise, if you’re not used to it.

The rooms are big and super clean, with good white bedding, plenty of clean towels and very good security. I thought it was a bit overpriced, but it’s a good choice for a night or two and very near the village. Die Laan is a street in Stellenbosch that follows the Eerste Rivier, with wonderful walks.
