Lanzerac Hotel

The Deli served excellent, reasonably priced food and wine, and our waitress was wonderful. Steve was the first person to help us, and his warm welcome, friendly smile and extra effort to give us the information we needed on a busy day made us feel at home straight away. He left a lasting impression. As we ate in the courtyard, staff kept passing our section because of where we were seated. Every one of them, from waiters to grounds and general staff, made eye contact, smiled and greeted us. Everyone seemed happy to be there, which really stood out. The immaculate, majestic grounds were lovely to explore, and every staff member we met was friendly and cheerful. I’ll be visiting Lanzerac often. Such excellence!

The hotel’s facilities and service are incredible, but it was Debbie, the head of reservations, who really stood out. Her welcome was so warm, and she laughed so generously. She was open-hearted and kind, and ready to help with anything, big or small. That personal touch, along with the rest of the facilities, is what keeps us coming back.

There was so much to enjoy, from the first-class food and lovely wine to the amazing rooms and breathtaking location. Service was great, and the wine tasting was brilliant. Lucky made the cellar tour come to life as our guide. The only downside was that we had just one night and couldn’t stay longer.

We’ve done quite a few tastings, and this may have been the best one yet. Lucky, our sommelier, was passionate and knew his stuff. He took us through the cellar and talked about the estate’s history and grapes. The outdoor setting was peaceful and the wines were delightful. Couldn’t have asked for more. Definitely add this vineyard to your stop!
