Fiona, the owner, is incredibly helpful and flexible, and always there for her guests. She can arrange laundry, a massage, or a taxi, and finds a solution even if you want to leave early but still have breakfast. I’ve never had this level of helpfulness at a guesthouse before. Summerwood Guest House is a lovely place for a Stellenbosch holiday: a beautiful, tidy old house that’s comfortable without being too luxurious. The rooms are clean, the lounge and lobby are nicely furnished, and the garden is beautiful. There’s a varied breakfast selection, free coffee and cakes or cookies, and a super friendly staff. I’d absolutely recommend it and hope to return soon :)

We got a complimentary room upgrade and enjoyed an incredible mountain view. The guest house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and we felt secure leaving our car in the private parking area inside the property. Breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. This charming place definitely enhanced our impression of the city. It’s a beautifully restored old mansion with stunning interiors, thoughtful details, and a gorgeous garden. Highly recommended!

We had planned to stay for two nights, then added one more. It’s a lovely guest house in Stellenbosch, quiet, clean, and well furnished, with a pool. The owner and staff are welcoming and helpful, and breakfast is tasty every morning. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Stellenbosch, and we’ll definitely return.

Fiona greeted us warmly, was very friendly, and explained everything clearly. The property is in a nice neighborhood close to the Stellenbosch CBD. It’s stunning and well maintained, with a luxurious feel. Our room was spacious and well put together, and breakfast was delicious. Portia provided excellent service. The garden and lawn are neatly manicured, with hanging chairs and sunbeds by the pool. Everything is nice and clean. Highly recommended.
