We planned to stay one night and ended up staying three. Naomi greeted us with a wonderful smile, and we felt at home right away. Breakfast was great, with a buffet and hot options, and we could eat outside on the terrace. Just note that fancy coffees cost extra. The pool and gardens were lovely places to relax, and our room had a fridge. There was also a 24-hour honesty bar and a fireplace for when we wanted to get cozy. It was a good base for exploring Stellenbosch, and a ride into the city for food and shopping was about $10. I appreciated the refillable soaps and lotions, and being able to drink the tap water meant we didn’t need plastic bottles. A power cut caused by vandalism at a nearby property happened while we were there. They kept us updated, plugged in an emergency light and charger for us, and ran a generator to keep the restaurant going. Thanks, Ben, Nettie, and Naomi for a wonderful stay.

The rooms were adequate and the staff were friendly, but flies were all over the food. Dining was really unpleasant, even though the place itself is a beautiful little gem.

For what we paid, this was honestly the worst place I’ve stayed. The restaurant service was the worst I’ve come across, and the food was bland and terrible despite the insanely high prices. The stale bread on the breakfast menu was another level of sad, so don’t bother ordering it. Drinks from the bar, including beer, were three months past their expiry date. There wasn’t any complimentary water in the rooms. They’re supposedly cleaned daily, but a dead fly stayed there for days, long enough for me to mourn its loss. Save your money and go somewhere with much better service than this overpriced place.

We had a lovely breakfast outside under the trees, and the staff were friendly. Parking felt safe, and birdsong on the farm greeted us in the morning. The rooms are beautiful, with great views across the vineyard and mountains. I’d recommend staying here, and I’ll be back.

The garden was phenomenal, the views were something else, and breakfast was yummy. The big bathtub was lovely to use, and the bed was super comfortable. The bedside lights were so bright that the ceiling LED lights felt less harsh. Service was a bit rushed because we arrived late. The booking photos don’t do the place justice.
