Robert and George, along with the furry friends, are what make this place so special. They're incredibly kind, and Robert knows so much about the local plants, wildlife, and hikes. Talking with him was such a pleasure, like catching up with an old friend. I came back after more than four years. My first stay was already perfect, but this one was somehow even better. The cottage was spotless, beautifully equipped, and had thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. I've hosted and stayed in plenty of Airbnbs, and honestly, I couldn't have done it better myself. I almost didn't want to leave a glowing review because I don't want it booked out every time I try to return. But not writing one would've felt like an injustice to the universe. We felt peaceful as soon as we arrived. The setting was stunning, a beautiful sight and a calm retreat for the spirit. That mix of nature and serenity really stayed with us. We'd highly recommend Pear Tree Cottage to anyone wanting a memorable, relaxing escape.

If you're after a rustic stay in nature, this treehouse is a comfortable choice, and I'd recommend spending at least a few nights. It's tucked into a garden and is incredible, hand built by the owner Robert. We got a really friendly welcome and an excellent tour from six-year-old George. You can pick your own lettuce and tomatoes from the garden, and use local leaves as soap.

We only had one night here, but this was the most memorable stay of our 10-day vacation in SA. Robert, Carmen, and George made it so special, and we can't thank them enough. The cabin was breathtaking, tucked away in a lovely little forest farther back on their property, with its own porch. It was built with so much thought and attention to detail. Rob also has a really interesting, spot-on vision to share. This place went far beyond what we'd expected.

The host is wonderful, and the outside shower is fabulous. The place sits in a beautiful garden. Just make sure you're comfortable with an open toilet. The mattress in the main room needs replacing, and getting up the banister to the upstairs is tricky at night if you're heading downstairs to use the toilet.
