Shelley did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. There was plenty of bedding and more than enough beds, plus electric blankets and air conditioning to warm the rooms. It all felt well thought out. If you're after something different for your bucket list, V8 guest house is a great choice. We had a lovely time. Thanks, Shelley and Johan.

V8 is a real treat if you love old cars, and being able to bring our pet was a bonus. The fenced yard gave Gemma room to run around, which she needed. We were travelling the scenic route from CT to Sutherland and decided to stay the night, booking at the last minute. Shelly was extremely helpful, and we appreciated the hospitality.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the decor was beautiful throughout. Shelly was a wonderful host. They use tanked water inside to help save water, which gets a double thumbs-up from us.

After a day of adventures, this is a good spot to rest your head. The rooms are clean and well kept, though they can feel a little cold. They do their best to keep guests warm with fires and similar comforts. There are communal spaces where you can spend time away from the cold outside.

The classic car details give this modern, beautiful guest house a distinctive look. The Diner just around the corner is worth a stop for its burgers, chips and milkshake, which are the best in the Karoo Highlands.
